Who’s got it? AT&T won’t let me send photos to my email since June 17th and many photos incoming won’t download. They send notifications of updates then dump stupid games on you that you don’t need and didn't ask for. Now that I’m retired they want to raise my rates I think I can do better for what little I use of my phone.
They have different plans that all say unlimited but charge more by the Gs thatyou pay more for , confusing to this tech hater. LOL
Any service that’s reasonable for minimum use you guys could recommend might help but I’m in the country so maybe I need more Gs then? Had Verizon any cell provider that you struggle to find their number to call is out. If I need to talk to Jose that doesn’t understand English that’s out also (tracphone)

I don't know of any cell phone providers that don't outsource their customer service to foreign speaking people.
I use Straight Talk through Walmart. $35 plan. It'll be 5G if 5G is available where you live, if not it'll be 4G most likely. I think my plan comes with 2 GB of data usage, after that, they don't charge you more but they slow down your speed. Although, I must say I barely notice a difference in speed when I am over my data allowance. Since I use a PC when I am at home, 2GB of data is fine for me. If your phone is your main method of internet-ing though, you may want a plan with more data. Unlimited calls.
I've only had to call and talk to them once or twice over the past 10 years, but if you do, it will be a foreigner you speak with I'm sure. Not Jose, probably Akmad Osama Hussein or something like that.

I don’t remember AT&T (First Net) or Verizon ever having foreign customer service but Tracphone nothing American about their customer service. Not that a person can get through anyway unless you have several hours to waste. LOL

If I need to talk to Jose that doesn’t understand English that’s out also (tracphone) June 17th at&t turned down email to text and some other data conversion features they no longer wanted to support, dealt with it the last couple of days , the warnings were out there if you have an android phone you can just view your photos in google photos right now I am with Google Fi , but it sucks in some locations not well served by anything but Verizon. Mineral point WI being one of those places , the only place I get any coverage is sitting at the top of the hill because it is coming from a tower on the next hill not the water tower in town. when I wanted to send some messages and check email while waiting on the wife I found a bar with wifi and ordered a beer , sat there and drank beer and made my calls on wifi.
America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

I like the text to email feature I probably use that the most I have home Wi-Fi I use that about as much I use very few minutes in a month. AT&T won't download a lot of the photos coming in or out I just get an error message so the things I need the most is not working as it should.

I've never heard of consumer cellular but it sounds interesting. Does anyone know if it's nationwide? How does one go about getting it?

LOL I switched from AT&T to Verizon probably at least ten years ago, because AT&T had such horrible customer service, and no the people I was dealing with on the phone did not grow up speaking English as their primary language. Verizon isn't necessarily better, but I don't generally have to call them. Last time the wife did the gal she was talking to was obviously American, from the deep south with a drawl thick enough to cut with a knife.

I like Red Pocket. They have some deals on Ebay as well. I use my phones as hotspots and have no trouble. You can choose from any of the 3 providers that works in your area.
I also got a 2 year contract with Visible which is Verizon for $20 a month unlimited everything. Data does slow down a little when they are overloaded. Last I saw they raised it to $25 a month.

Consumer Cellular They have a number to call or do it online and then they send you a sim card you have to install and then call in to set up. It wasn't bad to do. They have a few walk in stores but none near me. You can start with a new phone from them also.
