Who has used one with an atv or lawn tractor. Needing an idea on which brand has given dependable service for lawns and small food plots.
Don't want to spends hundreds. But couple hundred or so I'll do. Small push or hand held spreader is getting old.
Thanks in advanced for your recommendations.

SgtC,

SpinTech has this model that mounts. It has the spin plate that spins up when off and down when on.

Btw...I've tried about every version of pull behind and 3pt hitch mounted spreaders there are. Not real happy with any of em. Some work well with pea-sized seed but suck with clover-sized seed....and vice-versa.

I wish I knew the name of this spreader but it has been bullet proof. I use it to fertilize spread seed and harrow in. I don't use it for food plots and at the ranch for many projects and is so easy than using large equipment. 2' x18" x12" deep with solid tires no blow up tires always ready to roll.[Linked Image]

Same here. The organic farmer in me I guess. John Deere would've been my recommendation.

I have one that looks like the same brand as snowy has. Mine holds 150 pounds and is on 6th or 7th year. I use it to spread fertilizer on food plots and calcium chloride for dust control in front of house on gravel road. I gave 240$ for it. Wash it real good after each use.

I had a Agrifab, around 100#....Towed it with the truck and had the boy on the tailgate running it, spreading granular lime, Boy looked like a snowman after, lol
Anyway it worked good, someone finally stole it,,, frown

Me too. Lots of bad memories when I was young. Thing never broke down unless it was full. Always battling with the chain. Welding on a spreader is a smell one does not readily forget!
