Not my go to trap, but a guy is giving me a few. For skunks I believe they should be good. Any thoughts?

Thanks

You'll wanna have some kind of cover for them to darken the interior like a little cave. And bury the bait UNDER the cage, below the treadle. Good luck

PS:
1 qt Hydrogen Peroxide
1 cup baking soda
1 good squirt of liquid dish soap, (I like lemon) laugh

Every kid needs a Dog and a Curmudgeon.

Remember Bowe Bergdahl, the traitor.

Beware! Jill Pudlewski, Ron Oates and Keven Begesse are liars and thiefs!

I use the tsc bonus traps for skunks and they hold fine. Wrap in duct tape

PETA is stupid.

Havaharts have 1 x 1 inch grid squares. We only have striped skunks in my area, and they will dig n dig n dig thru the floor. You will have 10 pounds of soil in the trap and will need to fill in a hole. I would place a board underneath to prevent the excavation.

You guys are over thinking this. Just about any trap for a skunk will work. They’re not going to tear apart a trap like a raccoon. Stick the whole trap, once set in a black contractor bag. Toss your bait into the back. They’ll go to ground, or try to once caught. Your trap will sometimes weigh 40 lbs with all the dirt they pull in. But it’s covered with something cheap and disposable.

Come mating season, I had males tear the bag off to try to get to a caught female once. The customer had a camera on it and it made a pretty cool video.

Yeah, I'm familiar with the formula. I catch a bunch every year and once in a while, one lets loose in my chamber.

Traps are free, so I'll deal with the dirt.

I have a roofing company I get rubber roofing scraps from . I wrap them around my traps and zip tie them on . Works great .
