Now everyone has an opinion but in reality put in your time in good area because if the biggest deer you have is a 1 year and a half 6 point it’s the best u can kill

What’s a straight case rifle?

they started as mostly 44mag , 357 mag , 41mag

they have evolved considerably to 350legend , 450 bushmaster , 458 socom , and now 41 great lakes is the new one , they generally limit the range the projectile will travel but these newer cartridges custom built to meet the 1.8 inch max case length and a 35cal or larger projectile ar enow pushing 200 yards but even the best of them are running around 10 inches of drop at 200 yards unlike a bottle neck cartridge that generates a lot more velocity with a better ballistic coeficency.

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

Absolutely Swamp Wolf. That is a true statement. Applies to pretty much any animal /predator that is being hunted or trapped in the southeast. Pressure. Woodsman ship is a lost art.

… I remember back when we had the first ammo shortage

.. a slick friend of a hand that hunted with me was invited… he didn’t have any ammo for his 270 or whatever he had

… so he went to a gun shop looking for some .. the only rifle ammo they had was 350 legend … so he asked if they had the rifle for it as well lol

… that was the first time I ever heard of that caliber

… he ended up killing a buck with it lol

good solution. 350 is about like shooting a 35 rem. Dose a good job. What i don't comprehend is not having ammo and being in that situation to begain with.

Head up pard, you'll be just in time to hunt Saturday and Sunday. You can kick my lab but hands off my border collie, bring your own beer
