Had bacon annd eggs this morning. Yesterday morning i had the same thing only less. Had leftover hamber with pinto beans and jalapeno also. Think tonight I will have a beef tbone. Got one jar of canned venison. Ate one with some company. Added rotel tomatoes with green chili. I'm sure when I do that again some will be breakfast. I eat pretty good on my own. I like to cook. When I'm working for wages wife does all the cooking. Im ready to relax when I get home

Whatever I can find in an airtight. (can) R Hand is going south, so if it wasn't for the electric can opener I bought, I'd likely starve to death!

I eat better when the princess is gone. She doesn't like anything close to spicy. I put cayenne on most everything.

Good on you pushing through and thinking of foods you like. Keep prepping for others meals and enjoy with them. Your post has me viewing life different.

that is definitely one of the things if does it makes you look at everything differently

I always eat high on the hog when my wife’s not around…tonight I had a paper cheese and A1 sammie. Tasted just like a bacon cheese burger minus the bacon and burger. So good I had two!

Typically im the one that's gone. But a few years back my wife and daughter went somewhere for a few days. The boys and I were on our own. One of the boys realized that at one point and got very concerned and asked what are we going to do about food? I was confused by his question and asked him to clarify. Basically if mom's not hear how will we eat. I told him I would cook. He was very surprised and asked questioning you know how to cook. that's when I realized they had never seen me cook and it hut home. SO Insted of basics just to get by I flat threw down in the kitchen that weekend. Both boys said they liked my type of cooking better. I laughed and told them absolutely never say that where their mom can hear it.

I suspect it was more of my cooking was different from what they were used to. Surprisingly everything did turn out well considering I had not cooked for years at that point. I like to cook but seldom do.

My wifes not afraid to leave me behind so Im getting good at this. In fact she just got back yesterday from 10 days in Arizona. She stepped on the plane in AZ at 80 degrees and stepped off at -5 in Mn, haha. Anyway, the day she left I cooked a 17lb turkey in a cooking bag, super simple. Then I also made a big pot of what I call "shotgun chili". I rotated between the turkey and chili and even had neighbor over guy over because I couldnt eat it all. In between I had a meal of salmon or two. I know how to survive.
