… but on a side note…. I did have a big male intentionally try to dig one up

… the only time I’ve seen with many coyote caught on this set up


… dirt looks soft .. but it wasn’t sugar sand .. took a little effort to drive the stake

… that sucker just dug at it from the time he was caught till I got there

Hard soil 10 inches. Soft 12 to 14. I use fox hollow earth anchors with a retrieval boss. Just pull the cable and chain together and they pop right out of the ground. All I run now for coon, coyote, and any other foothold situation.
