So, for next season, I want to attempt to make a red fox gland lure to try out myself. I have some glands from reds I caught that have been aging for about 3 years, and I also have a bunch of frozen bladder urine that I have collected. My question is, do I have to do anything to the urine before using it in a formulation? I know I saw clint locklears lure video he poured urine over ice in a coffee filter to pasteurize? it, and wasn't sure if something like that needed done to it or not?

In my opinion you can use the bladder urine as-is.

Glycerine will help freeze proof it and it acts as a humectant to keep the lure from drying out.
