For less than $10 you can get a quick mount for that light for your scope. Works fine on even larger calibers, my 300wsm wears one for hogs.

It should work just fine. It is on a mini-14 and they never shoot in the same place twice anyway.

True. I had high hopes for a Mini 30 I bought in the late 80s. It was going to be the perfect deer rifle. Got it home and sighted it in. Barely kept the group on a pie plate at 100 yards. Got rid of it quick.
