Sitting inside, outside minus 16. lol will be cutting ironwood this Spring.. Will it dry any faster if I ring it when leaves develop and then cut a couple of months later? Or just cut in early spring into 18” length?

I would cut it before it starts running sap up, if you split it once it will be dry by fall I would assume.

Thanks I hear what your saying and I should have added we currently have a couple of feet of snow. When the sap runs I’ll be tapping maple trees.
