Hey all.... In the past years I have done quite a few trapping demos at several events each year in my area. I took off last year while healing up after back surgery. I really missed doing them..... that ate at me a lot. I have had lots of people comment that my demos were missed and many commented the kids were really disappointed with my absence. So this year I am already scheduled to do a couple springtime demos and I will do them even though I had some more back surgery in January. I am retired now and hope to do a few around the area this year. The tanned fur pelts I have on display are a big big eye opener for the kids and many adults are equally drawn to the pelts opening the door for discussion about trapping. I've have had in the past adults that said after my demo was over " I always heard bad about traps and trapping but now after watching and listening to you, i see that it's not at all like I have heard before". That kind of response sure makes a guy feel like he did good ! Many of the pelts are my own I have taken over the years and some I purchased from others. I am looking for a wolf pelt or maybe a wolverine soft tanned pelt to display. I know they are some high dollar pelts so I am posting this in hopes of finding a pelt to purchase that could be of less garment quality due to a flaw or being rubbed or damaged in a small area. A small flaw would still not hurt the comparison of a wolf pelt compared to a coyote pelt. I thought I had found one a couple years back but that deal never materialized. So if any one knows of a place to purchase a lower dollar pelt that still is representative of the species or has any suggestions send me a PM. Thanks for taking the time to red this post and have a great day ! [Linked Image]

No wolf or wolverine that I'd be willing to donate, but how about a marten; don't see any on your board.
PM me your mailing address if interested.

Hey thanks for your interest. I purchased a marten last year. I've seen them in the wild of Colorado while elk hunting. Cute little buggers. So I had to have one. Big hit with the kids. Not begging for a free wolf pelt but maybe a lead on a cheaper one... even of less quality if it still looks like a big wolf !! Thanks again !!

I'll bet Trevor Barnes will have what your looking for. He has both tanned Wolverines and Wolves. Some with slight damage and such. I'd give him a call.

I talked to them last week and looked at their webb site. They have a really nice and very large super prime lite colored wolf that sure catches my eye... and I am sure is worth the price .. I keep trying to calm myself down so I don't rob my retirement and grocery funds to but it !! smile smile smile

UPDATE ....The UPS truck just dropped a package from MTP... I ordered a white Artic Fox from them last week. And it is simply an outstanding beautiful pelt. It will get a lot of comments and compliments when I do my demos !!

PM sent. CBP doesn't care about CITES as per their email, but I'm looking into FWS. All I'd require is a CITES, provincial export permit and a broker to make the transition at the border flow smoothly. A certificate of origin should eliminate nasty tariffs. A fella got nailed $500 for 10 wolverine because he didn't have the USMCA form filled out not too long ago,
