What happened? Check in regularly and haven’t seen much of any trapping. Prices? Time of year? Douche bag comments? Frozen fingers? Kinda liked this forum better than trap talk but not much traffic.

For starters, some seasons are coming to an end.

Next, it is bitter cold (for example, -43 here at my place this morning) and we are approaching 90 inches of snow on the ground. We are busy staying warm and shoveling snow!

It's a lot quieter here but quality threads.......that's for sure. Trapper Talk is almost like an "off topics" thread in other forums.

Appreciate the valid post Current. I can remember Kusko and several others who always had trapline threads. HFT AK is the only one I see. Wondering where they all went. I get it, with posts like Dirts why would anyone bother?

Well the journals were pictures of the their life on the trapline. I never paid much attention to them, except HFT's to see how much snow was to my east. It takes time to take pictures, post pictures and narrate the story. Then you have to answer all the questions or you appear rude. And some of those questions get down right bazaar. I think some people go through a faze where they want to share these daily events with people on the internut, and then they get over it. Then there is a risk to posting everything you do on the internut.

BTW notice the heading is Wilderness Trapping and Living. Since I do both, all my post are valid posts. smile

Kusko and fish 222 are still in Bethel and still trapping I believe. Maybe life caught up and no time to post. We had an airplane trapper going after Wolverine from Bethel also. He didn't understand the joking and sometimes over the top comments and hasn't posted this winter.
You can't expect us all to be perfect.

I liked Kuskos posts as well. But I certainly don't bother with a bunch of pictures when I'm out and certainly don't post them to the internet, so I can't blame anyone else for them not.

Fish 222 isn’t currently trapping I believe Kusko isn’t either but not 100 💯 sure on that I quit posting because it got to much local attention looking at my lines when you work years to develop lines then share a season with the world next thing you know every other time you check someone has been down your trails you use to have to yourself makes a guy nervous And as previously mentioned it’s a lot of work trying to keep a journal updated I run 2 lines and am out on my snow machine every other day checking one or the other and skinning on the off days the rest of my life needs more time as it is

We get out of life only as much as we really want and work hard enough to achieve

So you say you are busy actually TRAPPING to monkey around on T-man? How odd!

Probably not keeping up with your Facebook obligations either! Geesh!

Unfortunately I'm waiting for a kidney transplant, maybe after I'll be able to get back out in the bush. From what I hear around the interior a lot of guys didn't get a lot of trapping in with the record long cold snap we had and then the dumps of snow.

Dog faced pony soldier and proud of it!
