Dam I can’t wait! Why has it been forever since we had a good Nam movie? Those were our favourites growing up as a kid.

Man, I’m honestly pretty pumped to see the next Rambo movie coming together. The upcoming film, John Rambo, is supposed to explore the early life of the character before the events of First Blood. From what I’ve read, it’s set during the Vietnam War and will show how John Rambo became the hardened soldier we see in the original movies. Noah Centineo is playing the younger version of the character, while Sylvester Stallone is involved behind the scenes as an executive producer.

Production reportedly started in early 2026 in Thailand, so it’s still in filming right now and an official theatrical release date hasn’t been announced yet. But with filming underway, it seems like a late-2026 or 2027 release window is probably realistic if everything stays on schedule.

Another thing that has me excited is all the Rambo knife collections and replicas popping up again as the franchise gets attention. The Rambo survival knives, especially the blade used in First Blood have always been iconic.

Between the new origin movie, the possibility of new gear releases, and the nostalgia of the original films, it feels like the Rambo franchise might actually be making a comeback.
