Do beavers put sticks in the ground on top of the slides or castor mounds? Like how you put a lure on a stick and shove it in the ground. I found a mound made by a beaver, put some lure on a stick, set a 330 in front. Next day got my first beaver. Came back the next day and there was a second stick pushed in a few inches away. Today was scouting around my pond and an old beaver slide has a stick pushed in the ground at the top as if someone was putting lure on it. I am the only one with access and I have trail cams on the entrance. My 2 thoughts are beavers doing it, or I am sleep trapping in the middle of the night. I should have taken a picture. I will get one tomorrow.
