You can keep a large number of coturnix quail in a pen that size. I keep 20 roosters to 70 hens in 8' by 4' by 2' high pens. How many quail will you keep?

Keith

Not too many gonna try and expand out to like 20-25. Want enough to keep eggs up to a dozen a day at minimum. Also wanna make sure they have e plentiful room so it doesn't need to get moved or cleaned too often also so the hens ans roosters don't have too many issues
It's 5' wide 7' long at 5'4" tall got 100' of 19 ga black coated hardware cloth to cover it . Trying tk avoid the snake issue we had last summer, which was just one fat rat snake but the wife is petrified of nope ropes so just best to keep them out all together.
Probably gonna get 3 roosters and 10 hens tomorrow if possible. The lady i buy from.wants to give me some wine making supplies ans I'll see if she wants to sell me a few

I'd put it on the sloped side, otherwise you'll be crawling in...
