California ground squirrels, we had our best day ever with 55 squirrels. Trapping in parks and campgrounds can be trying! People letting there dogs loose, there is a dog park you drove right by on the way here, or people turning critters loose. I was surprised, we had over 50% females. Only a couple showed signs of lactating. These squirrels do a tremendous amount of damage. They dig under foundations, drain fields, just the holes for tripping and chew wires in cars.

Update- just ran thru the traps before sunset. Didn’t want a rouge raccoon tearing up a trap or something. Caught 9 more 8 females 1 male. This should really be helping this campground out this go around. I have been trapping this place twice a year for 3 years now.
