Here's a base I made years ago and still use each season (ADC, on here, gave me the idea)- I made this drawing years ago for a friend to make a base for himself. Maybe this drawing will answer your question- You can make any height base to fit your shop. I placed a bolt on center post. The bolt/nut enables the top section to swivel.
