The Boy decided his folkstyle season was too short this year so he'd try Freestyle and Greco. He has been rolling 4 nights a week at two clubs and hitting the weights like a man possessed. The work paid off with a silver medal in his freestyle only tournament, this weekend.

What are the names of the wrestling clubs he goes to. One of our schools alumni runs a club in Wisconsin now.

EC Hammers, and Chippewa Elite.

Nice dump and transition to gut wrench to finish it. Best advice I gave my guys was to look for a quick turn right away off of the takedown. A lot easier than letting the guy belly out and then working. Have him do Greco too. Will really expand his hand fighting. College coaches like guys that do Greco too. One of my sons was a 2x Fargo Greco all American and didn't do a Greco move. Hard hand fighting, snap downs and go behinds. He hated Greco but coaches who were recruiting him convinced him to do it at Fargo. He also made all American ib freestyle so that helped too.

How close are you in Wisconsin to Askrens Wrestling Academy? They’re doing good things up there

Yeah he is doing Greco this season as well. Hates it, lol.

We are in north west WI so 5 hrs from Askrens. But, he got his new red and blues today. Mom ordered him the most Wisconsin ones she could find. Lol, He loves 'em!
