This rifle was in a fire .Top of reciever marks not good . Has sling loop on front of trigger guard . Brazil ????? I know there are experts on here .What is it ?

Ottoman empire Mauser ,after WWI all that I have seen just has regular numbers

the ladder markings are the same as the 1891 and 1893 , the 1903 ottoman mauser seems to use regular numerals , since they were made by Mauser it probably just because standard on numerals to keep more parts the same. he was supplying a large portion of Europe by that point.

looking further the 1893 and 1898 and 1903 used the same or very similar sight ladder setup but some were marked in each type of numerals

Turk guns can be an absolute mish mash of whatever fit

they had two kinds of guns , working guns and broke guns

they didn't do the kind of arsenal updates for standardization the Germans did and they certainly didn't document it like the Germans did both on paper and with a stamp after every rework

Pete note the very fine notch in rear sight .The front has a fine blade as well . My pet peeve is coarse iron sights . I have a BL22 with the best irons of any rifle I have owned .
