If you work outside in the sun on regular basis and wear just a ball call you might want to consider getting a hat that shades your ears. After spending unknown days in the sun thinking I was invincible to the damages of the sun got proven wrong today, but after 2.5 hrs under the knife where the Dr had to go in 3 times to finally get to clean unaffected tissue and cartilage got the basil cell carcinoma removed from my right ear.
Please take this as a warning and take precautions as it was not a pleasurable experience

I hope they got it all.

In the last two years, my mom and one of my best friends both had skin cancer removed from the tips of their ears. I had a weird, scaley, rapidly growing, growth cut off the tip of my ear last Fall. It didn't test as cancerous. Us people of Northern European descent weren't evolved to get a much Sun as we get in most of the US.

Well supposedly after 3 times cutting and taking samples they did say everything looked clear and healthy, hardest part is not being able to anything strenuous for a week when the stitches come out and skin graph has a chance to completely attach

Hardest part is sleeping. I kept rolling over on mine and waking up.

Had some removed underneath my right eye several years ago. A very unpleasant experience. The DR, said it was most likely caused by the sun reflecting off my glasses frame.

Have a 103 year old neighbor that went in for a cancer on his ear...took the ear clean off!, nothing but a hole now....Hope yours goes better than his!
