I found this while turkey hunting in West Central Missouri last week. I suppose it's about 7 feet tall and about an inch or so in diameter at the base. There's three bulbs growing on it that are about 1.75 - 2 inch in diameter, and felt like they were hollow. Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you. My first thought was oak, but I'd never seen a gall that large up here. I appreciate the information.

No we didn't, Clay. Plenty of birds around though. Had I been hunting alone I think I'd of had a short hunt, but I was trying to get the boys on birds first. We had a couple close calls that involved a kid moving at the wrong time. We sure had fun though. Kids got to handle a bunch of reptiles that they aren't used to seeing, got to buy a few traps, and got to hang out with some really good people.

I gotcha.
At least those nonresident youth permits are cheap.
Our pressured Missouri birds typically aren’t a piece of cake lol.
