dave, its nice of these folks to give you encouragement. But let's be truthful. I am 9 weeks out from a complete knee replacement. Dave, it a s.o.b. Swelling, pain and walking well still a challenge. I can climb stairs but it is painful. I am finally able to sleep most of the night and getting up only to pee. Getting in my truck is still a challenge. My doctor has x-rayed it twice since surgery and everything looks correct. I have attended 12 pt sessions and do home exercises when I am able. We will see as time goes on as most people say it takes 6 months to a year to see real improvement but right now I would not do it again.

Tomorrow they do my left knee. I had my right knee replaced in 24. I went deer hunting 6 weeks after surgery. Hoping for a similar result.

Glad you can get out of the house Dave.

There is always a risk of falling and getting hurt good or bad knee.

One day at a time. It will get better.

In this hot weather no need to worry about snow or ice to slip on.. But this fall and winter you need to watch for frosty grass and ice later on . Just be more aware when out trapping.

Are ya using a cane or a walker or something, Dave, so that ya don't fall?

Be careful but keep moving. You need to work through the pain to regain your range of motion.

I have nothing clever to put here.

They do those surgeries literally every day of the week..each of those patients will have the same risk. You really need to put the worries aside and do what you can to get better. I've read through this thread and it looks like you're giving up. You can't do that. If you aren't going to at least try, you wasted the doctor's time and efforts to make you well.

10 weeks out and I think I turned the corner, still ice if I get swelling. Still training myself to walk normal. During the procedure they cut a pile of nerves and a little bone. You have to train your self to walk normal. I was told my knee was as strong as a normal knee immediately after the procedure. havent taken any Ibuprofen in a while,

Just the right amount of whelm.
