Im hoping to dip traps throughout the week. This is my first time doing it im used to walnut hulls. What ratio does everyone use im using rustoleoum and mineral spirits ive seen a few different ratios in my research

50/50 works great for me. It kind of penetrates the steel and leaves a thin coat on the metal.

I use 40/60 paint to acetone. I like it thinner, but I dip a second time after the first coat dries.

I use 50/25/25. 50% acetone, 25% Rustoleum rusty metal primer, 25% Rustoleum black (flat or gloss doesn't matter). mix really well. They come out a really nice mud brown.


Trail cameras and fresh snow have broke a lot of trapper’s hearts.
