This one was our last night to finish off the super generous load of morels from Sharon, along with a few Pohu Oyster mushrooms that popped up on Zim's mushroom ranch.

First, I made a couple of steakhouse wedges with blue cheese chunks and a mix of ranch and French dressings. (Zim grew some fantastic head lettuce this year, but that is already gone!)

We had this collection of mushrooms: the last of the morels from Sharon and Zim's Pohu oysters.

I got out another steak - not prime this time, but by the time I was done with it, it was as tender as could be. Both kinds of mushrooms sauteed in butter, and then Zim's fantastic cauliflower garlic mashers with lots of butter.

That was wonderful. Just about had to nap it off! laugh

What's on your table tonight?
I hope it's a great evening for all of you!

I so enjoy your food pics! You and your husband are evidence cuisine is an art!

Today was a celebration of my wife turning 50. Actual birthday was the 8th. She is a bit sensitive about aging and she demanded no party. My eldest daughter instead enlisted sisters and boyfriends (and her husband) for physical labor. Weeding and other yardwork from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.. After which a simple meal of brauts, hotdogs, burgers, chips and baked beans was served in the comfort of air conditioning. Young ones ate a lot and will sleep well this evening.

I have been fumbling through a series of knee related issues. So I was the chef and got to enjoy the entire day with my amazing baby grandson Rhett by my side. Life is great!

That sure looks good. Tonight is trout with a sweet potato and green beens. Good but not as good as what you and Zim had.

That sounds really good, Leftlane! We'd share ours though. We just need to get you over to our corner of the woods!

Tonight was left over potatoes with onion, peppers, cheese and bacon on the smoker, with shrimp and Cajun seasoning. A few Hazy IPA’s while manning the smoker.

Wow! That's a symphony of smoke there, ABeardedTrapper! Those are the kind of leftovers you look forward to. The IPA probably was required for safety near the smoker. laugh
