Appreciate the vote of confidence, but I was a force to be reckoned with in my younger days.

I constantly remind my middle girl that baby boy of her's will be bigger than her sooner than she thinks. If she can't that son in law had better do it. Love my grand babies but they know daddy mac don't play. Fortunately the girls don't need much to put the fear of God into them. Only one tried me and she was shocked when grandad showed up at school to deal with her nonsense, that was first grade and she's been no trouble at school since.

I don’t spank my kids, but if anyone’s going to spank them it’s going to be me. Any Aunt or Uncle spanking my kids would get laid out immediately.

Never spanked mine. I like to think I'm smart enough to find another way to get them to behave without spanking them. BTW my kid is one of the kindest, smartest most polite people you'll ever meet.

I got the belt several times , mouth washed with soap ext. my kid got a belt once. I agree make it memorable, he was about 9. Good from then on. My two daughters are raising there kids opposite of each other, the one that don’t spank I hardly ever see, the one who disciples there kids I see more often. Completely different kids. Both my daughters had a teacher who still paddled kids.

you know the numbers for kids staying out of prison are almost identical.if you have 2 parents or if you live with your dad.

but if you live with your mom only your chances of prison are much higher statistically

clearly it has a lot more to do with how your mother raises you but the reality is women who take the kind of responsibility to raise the kids right are in a real minority to the ones who have a new babydaddy every couple years

you want a scarry number , sexual assaults on a minor is wildly higher if the mother has a live in boy friend.

I was raised in a pretty tight knit community where everyone was like family. Act up in the neighbors yard you got a whoopin and sent home for one for acting the fool in front of the neighbors.

I still remember one from grandfather Smith, no blood relation just what we all called him because he was the grandfather of one of our playmates. He told me to hit the road so I walked out into the middle of the street and smacked the asphalt. I can still hear leather clearing belt loops, lol.

BTW, my younguns knew exactly what I meant when I would tell their friends' parents to treat them just like one of their own. I didn't say that to all because if I couldn't say that, then they didn't have that one as a friend.
