Gary Benson trapper G Joined: Dec 2006 Very SE Nebraska	Dad always talked about jacks around here during the Depression. They were a problem and got into the hay windrows. The locals here also had roundups and shot not onIy jacks but coyotes and any other varmint considered a problem. I haven't seen a jack around here for 50 years. Still a few out in Wyoming. Probly too many predators find them when they are young in the nest. Don't think anything could catch a full-grown jack. They can flat cover some ground in high gear. Life ain't supposed to be easy.

upstateNY trapper U Joined: Aug 2008 ny	I love eating Cotton Tail Rabbits.I dont care for Snowshoe Rabbits.They are tougher and taste piney later in the season.Never had a Jack Rabbit.Would try one though. the wheels of the gods turn very slowly
