Did some tinkering today with the contents of my trap parts bin. Came up with this monstrosity. I think it will do well in a mink top-edge set scenario. Frame, levers and springs are from a Duke 1.75, jaws are a (tips in) Victor #2, pan is from a Victor #3 LS bolted to a Northwoods 1.5 pan.
Curious to see Frankensteins anyone else has made if they are willing to post pictures

I use that same trap for mink. I removed one lever and spring (looks like a big version of those old #1 V's). Still seem pretty strong to hold a coon for the few minutes it takes to go down the wire, I added a mid swivel and a downer at the end. I like the bolted pan idea. I have a few #3 jump pans I might add to mine now.

Not a true Frankenstein, but I believe this is a good top edge trap

#4 pan on a #2, next mod is too make them dogless

The Hammer and Coon Duke have a Frankenstein beaver trap
Maybe one of them will see this
