Those of you who have used these .what bait works best on chipmunks for you.
I have used there nut gel, commercial adc baits and peanut butter. I have watched several chipmunks and pine squirrels ignore the bait inside it. I turned the trap so they can see inside it , pre baited , spread several baits just below the trap on the post its attached to. Nothing. Its been monitored with a cell cam for over a month. They seem like a good solution if they would actually get visits.

I just use a weasel box with a rat trap inside. I screw the rat trap down. Holes in both ends, I cover one hole with welded wire. All I ever use for bait is black sunflower seeds just a few in the inside and a few on the outside. I use the rat trap with the large yellow pan.

I have both the A24 (rodent) and A18 (squirrel) traps and have been unsuccessful at using them regardless of bait, presentation, or setting, even in a target rich environment. They have been very disappointing and I share your frustration.

I have been successful using rat traps in a box. I have wood boxes that hold four each and a few plastic ones that hold singles.

I’ve had great luck with them on rats, mice, and chippies. I’ve used their Nutella stuff and pb. You have to set the height off the ground correctly. Attach it to a stake. Then drive the stake in to the correct height. I only have the A24.
