Thank you. I was fortunate to have been downwind from seven bucks that late afternoon coming down the mountain - all vying for position in the buck hierarchy for the few does in that herd.

I flew to Colorado on a photo shoot for the sole purpose of capturing them during the rut - took a few days to find them. Shot over 100 frames using my 500mm telephoto lens during that brief window of opportunity before they moved out of range into the lower valley.

It was an exciting and very memorable adventure for me. It was my very first encounter of being around and being able to shoot mule deer with my camera after my 35 years as a freelance nature photographer. They lived thousands of miles away from my whitetail haunts in Wisconsin and now here in the East.
