Last night the wife and I had fried green tomatoes out of our garden and some walleye cakes from some recently caught marbles.
The fried green tomatos are easy, get some green tomatos, slice them 1/4" thick and dip them in milk, then seasoned bread crumbs, and then a beaten egg. Fry them until golden brown, in the picture these were cooked and them placed on a cookie sheet and covered with some parmesan cheese.

The walleye cakes are easy too. Cut the filets into chunks, I like to make sure the pin bones are out.

I slowly simmer the filets in water until they become flakey. Then I cool them and mix them with finely chopped onions, a couple of eggs, a bag or so off saltine crackers and a couple shakes of grated cheese. I fry them in EVOO until they are golden brown and then use a horseraddish/sourcream/dijon mustard sauce. Excellent eats.

Let me know if you try it or have any questions.
