Thanks Double set, Hey I am new to conibears and it seems it hard to get the dog to stay set when trying to set them, these are belises and it just seems when I flip it onto the trigger it is too shallow. Am I missing something.
Thanks

Scuffler, just pass a round file several times through the trigger notch untill it stays set then give it a shot of paint primer.

I use wire to tie the jaws.I set my triggers on the bottom. When set,all I do is reach over the top and snip the wires. If it fires,my hand and fingers are out of reach.Works for me.

i just use a a piece of flat stock bent in a u shape with a hole drilled through the end to fit a cotter pin
$20.00 trap, a $1.00 stake, probably $1.00 in pan cover, bait, urine, and lure, Not to mention gas etc. All for a $10.00 coyote.Priceless!!!!!

I use the regular one that has been around for a while...I think it was billed as "Victor Safty Gripper" or something like that. I also open up the "ring" on the end and attach a brass dog leash snap, then close the ring. Then I just clip it to a belt loop or the suspenders on my waders.
