I cut little holes in the sides and wire through them and make nice little handles. They hang very nicely off an S-hook on my equip. bucket.

Kind of along those lines, I just got asked to knock some coons out at a dairy barn where they are eating the corn right out of the cows' feed trough. But, they have tons of cats running around, and were wondering if I could limit my cat catch.
Anybody got any bait recipes that will keep cats out? I usually use peanut butter and vanilla extract all smooshed together.

I use fruit type paste baits. Since I make my own, it is easy to custom make one, but not everyone has that luxury... Bananna, Loganberry, Blueberry, Fig, Persimmion, Butter Pecan are all top producers. I do ADC work, mostly with cage traps...so I know it is a effective wayto catch raccoons in and around buildings!

laurel mtman, i'm not LT, but I'll throw in my advice anyway. Last year I made a blackberry lure, I had about a 3 oz container so I took a nice sized buttter dish full of blackberries and mashed them up and poured it into the container. I filled the rest with dog food hoping it would give it a better consistancy, but the dog food just broke down, but anyways the blackberries started to ferment and now they give off a nice strong wine smell, and the coons seem to like it.
