Actually greenbelly most of the Alaska trapping a have done was in your home town about 18 years worth. I really dont have much of a line anymore just a few short lines here & there.

About 7 AM this morning, Modok "the marten" came in his trapdoor from outside and gave us alittle Christmas lovin. FOr those of you who don't know Modok...he was liviing in our roof(insulation)last year when we returned home form the trapline. We caught him in a homemade padded #1....spent slittle time domesticating him then truned him loose with the option to visit anytime he wants and our option to lock him out at certain times...we got alittle tired of him caching stuff all over the place in the cabin....he will not have anything to do with anybody except Scarlett and I...really skittish around strangers and the fastes critter I have ever seen...he can do a 180 quickler than greased ligthneing, makes the cat look like slow motion and actually has developed quite a vocabulary of diiferant sounds for differant meanings......he has been really fun to have around....... everymorning he has play time with us.....he has done some walk-abouts for up to 5 days...but usually just overnight and back in the morning. My son keeps eyeing his prime "dark" coat!! Wayne

I was wondering if you have been able to keep him out of the trapline...nice looking Marten!. for those that dont know...I have been fortunate to know the Halls when they lived here, some of the best folks you could ever meet, and let me list a few of Waynes acomplishments,That I know off,of the top of my head...Wayne was,A...crop duster, Bush pilot,(wrote a book on Bush Flying in Alaska)animal trainer, with bears and wolves and a bunch of other critters, built a cabin and moved into the bush, with his wife,(who does tanning and sews fur, among many other jobs of a bush woman), and small child,....and an acomplished trapper, and tour buisness,owner/ operator, did taxidermy, and ran the Yukon Quest twice, and I am sure there is alot more that I dont even know about,....I still laugh every time I think of the story that Ron Tweedo, told me, about the time you left to Anchorage, and left him with your Chimp to watch...and one night when he left it out of the cage, for exercise,in the hanger,..it ran out the door,(it knew how to use a door knob)....Ron said it was - 20 outside so he just waited there, and pretty soon the door opend a crack and the monkey looked in,and saw him and closed the door...he waited some more and the door opend again, and the monkey looked at him and reached around the back of the door and grabbed Waynes coveralls and ran back out and curled up in the back of his truck ......Ron Said he had quite a time trying to get him back in...LOL Hope you guys Have a Merry Christmass
