I have nine, but I only have 6 that I would consider training to pull.

The sled can be fast, but I don't think the dogs will be, I have BIG dogs....lol

Thinking about setting out for lynx this weekend and was thinking to use my beaver guts thats been in my bait box for weeks. Do you guys think now would be too late to try for them or do they tend to roam around the same area for awhile? Wanting to put my bridger #3's to use.

Nick,

Anything that smells like castor/beaver is attractive to lynx. But don't forget to use a "sight bait" of some sort at the same time. Remember that cats hunt more by sight than by scent. Get his attention and then the beaver smell will bring him in close.

Go for it!

Pete

They'll keep hanging around as long as there's food. They are just now approaching their best in terms of fur quality.

Jeff. I'm surprised to see you still have leaves up there.

Pete thanks for the info, I forgot about the visual attractor for the lynx.

I've seen lynx tracks not far from here and thinking to set for them. yukonjeff, I'm just a local resident here in Russian Mission. Do you guys think that using just the flagging tape or folded tin foil would be okay for attractors? Or would they really come for something more specific?

Well Back from digging out my burried sets,of course the Lynx were doing a Jig on top of my snowed under traps...I did pick up two that must of been in them sice yesterday (before the snow,no tracks)...that makes a even 20 for the week,I hope I can have more weeks like that.
saw two moose and since I had a bit of free time,...I trained this fox, how to balance snowballs on his nose...we are going to tour the west coast after trapping season.

YJ,
Are you just riding up to those fox? I'm surprised you can catch them out in the open. I can't tell you how often I've wanted to teach a fox to balance a snowball, but they always run off.

How much snow Jeff. Probably light and fluffy and gonna blow around? OR did it warm up enough to make it stick.

Caz...the fox in on my line never saw a person before,so I can ride right up to some of them, the one in the pic before this one, came right up to me while my machien was ideling, and I fumbled for the camera.
and FT we got some fresh powder, not quite warm enough to stick it down,so will drift when it blows, also overflowing a bit.
and welcome TA.lots of good info, start reading.
