birddog1 OP trapper B Joined: Apr 2007 Central Texas	Could someone advise the proper procedure for replacing springs on montgomery dogless traps. The spring pin is blocked by the pan. Do you bend the frame cross-member down enough to pull the pan from under the jaws or do you bend the connection at the pan and remove it. Appreciate any help. Ken

RdFx trapper R Joined: Dec 2006 Wisconsin	You can make a "spring tool" by using a pole barn spike of approximately six inches and putting a "roll pin" on it. The roll pin will pound on end of spike easily and with the 6 inch pole barn spike you have leverage to take springs off or on. Good luck. RdFx
