This thread can be used for talking about anything pocket gopher trapping related, kind of like the Mighty Mole thread. Feel free to post all your methods, pics, and anything else closely related to the subject. smile

I will start, I use Death Klutch traps. I have heard mixed opinions on this trap, but it works good for me, but I would be glad to listen to more opinions. smile I would show you some pictures, but I dont bring the camera along, but maybe Lt. Grey and some of you other guys have some!:)

I use the gophinator traps made by Steve Albano. I also have a Rodenator that I use on the farms and for ground squirrels in the parks.

A 5 year ADVANCED SEARCH, on the ADC Forum, for gopher will bring up almost 400 posts with the word gopher in them. A lot of good pictures, techniques, and advice are contained in them.

I also use the gophinators, DK1's, and the gopher cinch trap. all work well and are another tool in harvesting gophers!

How do you do the advanced search? I'm not very computer literate.

Yeah Robb, what is it with the fantastic service lately? We have ordered supplies from several different companies in as many different businesses and it almost seems like the stuff is in the garage when you hang up the phone. Anybody else out there notice this?

9 pocket gophers and a badger.

just got home today from a maintenance job. not alot going on there except coyote and badger digging in an old hay field that is now a bean field. They are after ground squirrels and voles. I have pretty good luck trapping the badger with a bucket set baited with fresh pocket gophers.

Yeah I ordered 100 traps from Steve 3 weeks ago and got them in 3 days and he did not even have my check yet! Now that is good service.

I use Death-Klutch traps. Here's a picture of the one I caught the other day. I put a 330 next to it for size comparison. Do they make good bait for fox?

Gophers are good bait, this is not from experience, although I used striped gophers last year for bait, I am going to try these for bait this year.

This is from todays check in one yard. The small one between the two bigger ones was actually caught by his tail and was not a happy camper when I pulled him out of the hole. The ground squirrel was at a church that I was checking to see if I had any more gophers and he ran to his hole. I stuck a gophinator trap down the hole and about 15 min later he was caught when I walked back by on my way to the truck.
