The moratorium is over, but it's a registration hunt. If we bring that much beer we might have to go into a new biz. smile

Oh and I used to 25 short miles from the great 6 Pack. It's now called LaCrosse Lager.....what a shame.

Doogie:
What part of the Alaska Peninsula do you want weather conditions/forcast for? The forecast is done on an area thing and you have to watch how the forcasted weather is tracking and add/subtract time for your location. The first link will let you plug in your nearest location for current conditions. 2nd link is most of Bristol Bay. 3rd link is the zone forcast. 4th link is a list of state wide webcams. 5th link is a weather bouy in Shelikof Strait that is handy for looking at devolping wind patterns. The radar image on the zone forecast is handy when you see rain squalls on it coming in from the Pacific side and you look out your window and actually see them. This last window method is the best forcast.

Thanks Bob, Im leaving in about a half hour for the airport. Ill be in King Salmon tomrrow trying to catch a Piper flight to Port Moller. Guys on the boat says it can be tricky getting out of King Salmon to Port Moller. I figure the Port Heiden station will give me the best idea. yeah the window forcast is the best, I pass alot of wheel watch time zooming in and out on the radar lol

I do CB. In the early 70's I lived on Juneau St - just off 15th. It is real close to downtown. It's not a through street there, but I believe there are short stretches of it further away from town.

I was looking at a place up on that street that has a website, I forget what the name of it was. They make all sorts of Alaskan Jams , Jelly and Gift baskets to send to people. I was thinking of ordering from them .

I see those products in lots of stores that cater to tourists. I have looked at some and judged them pretty pricey...many years ago!

A lot of people buy them for gifts. Nice packaging and tasty - the few I have sampled.

I'm humble enough to admit to paying $30 for 12 oz. of "king salmon jerky" up at Denali. It smells similar to the drain pipe coming from the sewer on my camper, and tastes similar to freezer-burned smoked catfish. mmm mmm good

Life ain't supposed to be easy.
