someone asked for me to post something about this subject. so here it goes. the following is a pic of a atomizer sold by WCS.They run 210.95 plus shipping. I use what they call citrus neutrox odor counteractant concentrate. this is designed to destroy malodors produced by organic sources. this is NOT a masking agent. as far as the disinfectant I get that down town it's a broad spectrum disinfectant that also can be put threw the same machine. This is a good addition to the ADC work. I use it for skunk odor removal, dead animal smell, bat guano odors, cigarette smoke and pet urine.I get any were from 30- 45 cents a sq. foot to do this .

Thanks again for posting. Do you use it like a bottle of Febreez? Spraying things like the carpet, curtans, coutches and up in the air? Do you allow your customers in the house while you are treating? Do you spray all rooms in the house? Do you have to sometimes do multipule treatments to be effective for skunks?

Agree with Warrior. Taken from the CDC website.... "In the United States, chemical germicides formulated as sanitizers, disinfectants, or sterilants are regulated in interstate commerce by the Antimicrobials Division, Office of Pesticides Program, EPA, under the authority of the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA) of 1947, as amended. Under FIFRA, any substance or mixture of substances intended to prevent, destroy, repel, or mitigate any pest (including microorganisms but excluding those in or on living humans or animals) must be registered before sale or distribution." Aside from proper licensing to commercially apply any EPA registered sanitizers or disenfectants also then be sure the sanitizer you use is registered for use in your state. We can only SANITIZE here...........Maybe "I" need lessons from you guys on "Disinfecting" bat contaminated area,,,,,,,????? Are you spraying Formaldehyde???????/ I think most will miss the point. There are no "safe" methods of deactivating histo spores in structures. Formalin or formaldehyde is propably the most available and efficient but definitely not something you want around people. I would guess large enough amounts of UV or radiation would work but again not something you want around living tissue. Short version, at this time we have zero methods available that will kill histo (and most other nasties like raccoon roundworm) so the term "disinfect" should be striken from our vocabulary.

For the 5 year I did Mold remediation, Kills was spec'd 90% of the time by the engineering firm that was hired as the consultant.. This was for "spot" mold on exterior fire board (5/8 exterior gypsum board with a fire rating)

The SEARCH feature of the CDC web site- http://www.cdc.gov/ will provide a wealth of information. However, just like OSHA- http://www.osha.gov/ many of us have problems complying with every rule and regulation on a daily basis. We must do our best to comply though. I doubt that any of us are over-trained.

If big brother revoked my permit, I could still run a LEGAL wildlife pest control business.
Someone mentioned Kill-Z - a great encapsulation product in the right situation. No permit or license or approval required from your oh so generous government business partners.
My point is there are ways to solve problems that the blood sucking government hasn't yet figured how to stick their greedy fingers to regulate (tax.)
