How much firewood do you go through in a Winter in Mcgrath ? We used to go through 10 face cord during the Winter, but never got colder than -20 or so for a couple of nights.

I burn about the same White, but all of mine is spruce. We aren't as cold as you are and for as long.

A nice balmy 13 here at the house, but is much colder off the hill toward the lake. It is not uncommon for me to be 30+ degrees warmer then the surrounding area.

CB I yakked with my Mom ystdy in Grafton NY and it was 20% colder there! We burn about 6 cord of spruce a year not counting steambath's. Hopefully after this summers insulation adding extravagaza our wood consumption goes down a bit.

If it does get that cold, could you post a picture of what -40 looks like in McGrath ? I would like to show what real cold weather is like to my Sister who is now currently "Freezing " in 54 Degree Florida weather . LOL
