hi all
got a couple questions on dying and waxing traps
first, how many traps (ie 1.5 and #2 coil) will a qt. of Andy Stoe's speed dip wax?
and how much wax will i need to wax 3 dozen traps?
also i have several traps that i didnt set last year and they are still dyed and waxed, will the be ok for next season or will i have to redye and wax em?

Never used speed dip. As far as wax you will need enough to submerge the trap in it.The traps that you have already waxed and dyed should be ok as long as they havent been contaminated. If you get more wax than you need it wont go bad.

boys, there ain't no way salt can be bad for ya... if your eating it on buttered sweet corn...NO WAY

Don't fool around with too little wax. Having more than enough on hand is much better than trying to skimp and tilting your bucket to get full coverage. I use a two gallon galvanized pail to wax my traps one at a time. Buy ten pounds of wax. You'll have more than enough wax for the traps, but you need a good wax base to start with.

Nowadays it just don't pay to be a good 'ol boy.

You can get wax at a kraft store for a whole lot cheaper in bulk then buying it buy the pound out of a trappers supply catalog.

If you use speed dip - don't wax.

If your doing canines = dye & dip.
For all else speed dip will do.
