ive had sev triple and quad on coons in a 20 yard stretch of river, and ive never seen a dog ever come around and mess with my catch.if theres that much fear of catching non-targeted animals in your area wright just move on to a different spot.

OK, but it still makes no sense notto set two traps because you might attract dogs. Do you use lure? It might attract dogs. LOL I think he may think your trapping house pet dogs Charles Wrong. I was referring to the other guy's logic about not wanting to attract dogs into his second set if he already caught a target animal. Lay off the hippie lettuce Bill and read the whole post.

Archer said "I put 2 traps per set, 1 set per location . When yall put 3 sets at a location, do yall use 1 trap per set or multible. thanks "
I read that as using multiple traps at one dirt hole or other set.
I said "I do not want more than one trap within reach of another." And "Picture a coon in a trap, then an unattended dog comes along and wants to torment him, and gets caught in the other close trap. Now what are you picturing?" And "I will set multiple traps on a good location, but not within reach of one an other."

Meaning if you get two differant animals, in two differant traps, within biting distance, there's liable to be trouble.
I have seen recomendations for even using the same stake for two traps, no not on this thread, but I am darn sure the original poster saw that also. And I just wanted to point out that I think those practices are not good.

No harm no foul, it's all my fault for my lacking comunication skills on here and I appologize. Over and out.
