duck killer OP trapper D Joined: May 2007 riverton kansas	I have some BMI 220's and have a hard time compressing the springs by hand is there a easy way to do this. Should i buy a trap setter if so what is the one to buy thanks. 2007-2008 totals (rookiee season) coyote- 6 Bobcat- 2 coon- 6 beaver- 10 skunk- 3 poosum- crap load

I have used the rope for years, but at my age now, it sounds like the setters are the answer. Jonathan Camera Gear: Canon EOS 7D-MK-II, Canon EF-S 10-22mm, EF 28-135mm, EF 100-400mm and EF 400mm lenses.

Anonymous Unregistered A	redneck I'm not sure which setters you are speaking of. The ones I posted work excellent for me, even on 330 Belisle's. Here's the info. for the push down type if anyone is interested. They are great setters as well if you have solid ground to push on. superdave trapper S Joined: Dec 2006 Camden Indiana	I have a pr or setters & also always carry my dog choker chain with a s hook on 1 end & a rod attatch to the other.Fits in my pocket.Rope is not my life saver.Chain last longer without fear of rot.

Nutoy trapper Joined: Dec 2006 East Tx	Stick your foot inside, pull up on the spring, set the safety, repeat on other spring, open trap and put satety tool on. Took longer to type this then it does to do it.

baker trapper B Joined: Dec 2006 south central,Nebraska-20yrs	i bought a setter, the kind with 2 bars and a bolt thru the middle and groves on the one end, but i wish there was one that once you get it to a certain point, it locks so you can set the safeties without having to hold the setter someother way while u latch the safeties. anybody make anything like this? i usually use it for 330's tho, the 220s do alright with my hands. ~Evan~

Wcrose19 trapper Joined: Jun 2007 galesburg illinois	i got an old setter with a bunch of old victors i bought at a yard sale for $20, i only had a few 220s and i just set them with my hands last season, but now i have more than a dozen (i know thats not alot to some of you) but i absolutly hate my setter, the thing slips off the spring and wacks my hands, i tried the rope thing and it works ok, is their any other way?
