No Ken, big budget cut for WS and they'll be using their full-time guys to handle that project, so I'll be home this summer. If my wife comes up with any more stuff on her "honey-do" list I might have to volunteer for nothing just to get away from here;, LOL.

Boat ran great, pushed it up to 4500 rpm's and 36 mph. A little too bumpy to push any harder. Still have 2500 rpm's to go... lol!
Seems to be real happy around 3850 @ 24.6 mph. Need to reroute my transducer cable though. Something I did with the new wiring and controls is interfering with it. I think I have that pot puller thing worked out! wink See ya' in a couple of weeks!

Sounds like you are getting a temp pot puller in a couple of weeks.... smile

Some people are like slinkies - not really good for anything, but they bring a smile to your face when pushed down the stairs.

Saw this in the ADN and find it amazing that on one hand there are dogs running free killing critters, but heaven forbid you might catch one of these guys in a trap and trappers are vilified.

Yup on both. Turbo converted single otter and the shutter speed was 1/8000 sec. Told the pilot as long as he was that close he might as well mow the lawn.

Ya we were a buzz with them today. Homer needs some tourists right now. It was down right eery last Sat. I was doing a couple days shot of commercial halibut and happened to be on the spit Sat about 8 am. There were more empty parking spots on spit row than there were cars in front of the charter offices.

Sitka was the worst. 3000 tourists in town at the same time walking around like they were in Disney World. I nearly pasted a couple with my truck as they stepped off the curb with their goofy grinned faces peering intently into the view finder...

We have over 12,000 today. Somtimes as many as 15,000. I prefer winter.

I remember working down there in the summer. Getting around anywhere near the docks was like the Midway at the Carnival. Much more real in the winter with gawkers and feather merchants gone.

My old stopping grounds, I used to trap that side of the island some years ago. Good luck
