I have atree at my shop [NO I didn't get pics - I will]. I thought at first Honey Locust but the seed pods look more like 18" long green bean pods. I have the pods heer and can post a pic of them later but till Tuesday i can't get pics of the tree, any ideas what it may be? Elm tree or even tulip popler type bark.Suggestions and I can lookup and confiorm from my books.L.O.L....sorry I have been so messed up of late , family ISSUES. Be patient and maybe I can figure what this isout.

As they fruit and mature can the pods be planted and start new trees? I think kind of neet looking.

I have new ones coming up every year here so I would assume that is from the seeds.So I would think you could plant them.Hard telling how you got one. Birds move a lot of seeds around and they were a popular tree to plant around here years ago.

They make just as good a board for stretching fur on as basswood does. It is just as soft as Basswood. The only problem with the tree is that a lot of them are hollow in the center.
