I agree with Pete on the "Not enough" part. I was standing on my upper rear deck and trust me that bear was only focused on one thing and it was that wire.

Herring eggs on kelp is good. I'm not too fond of seal oil. The "crunch" of those eggs is awesome.

Does anybody in your family still eat seal LBT? My mother in law loves it! (Newfoundlander). I could do the herring eggs but would be hesitant about the seal oil. I tried muktuk year before last and with a little sea salt it tasted pretty dang good.

Yup!! Everyone enjoys braided seal guts but Ive never liked it and had it on several occassions. They also like whale fat and seal oil, the oil its self isn't to bad, just super fishy

I've watched a lady here braid the gut but I don't think I could eat it. I figured the seal oil would be real fishy. Some of that 'aged' seal oil like they make up north can be downright deadly.

Whats the stuff I seen on the Air Alaska show? They took seal meat and wrapped it in some leaves and buried it for some long period of time. Fed it to a lower 48 guy and it looked to [Please excuse my language... I'm an idiot] near kill him in fact I think he said the smell alone was deadly as the wife and daughter sat there wolfing it down.

LOVE herring roe on kelp! Not a fan of the seal oil either. Tried it with dried fish and just couldn't get past the very fishy taste, and that didn't come from the fish.
