Whats wrong the the EAGLE RIVER 15?? Shortest race you can find in the state! Lets see...born in ER 40 years ago....been doing that drive for a long time, lol.

Hey Ted, sorry I missed the meeting last night. I got home and seen the card on my bench and then looked at my watch and it was too late. You shoulda reminded me. I got some ducks for ya...

Northway, the Trooper took pics and such for documentation that your insurance company can get right? Hope that worked out for you because you weren't at fault.

Trooper report was spot on. Both insurance companies were pretty funny after I told them what happened. I am positive both wanted to believe me, but said they would wait for the troopers report. I am sure there is no doubt. Now how to go about a hurt back from it. Trying to figure out the best avenue to go. If anyone has been through that, would love to hear about it.

Steve,

No worries, I didn't make it to the meeting either. We had three kids activities going on at the same time, so I couldn't swing it.

If you're around this weekend, I'll swing by and grab the ducks carcasses. I'll be working on trapping gear this weekend, so it's perfect timing. Thanks again.

Ted

Ted, I am taking off right after work to head up and lock up the cabin till freeze up. I have 9 birds and a muskrat in a bag. I'll put them in the back yard up against the house for you. The women should be in and out at home all weekend. I'll have the fish ducks in about a week. Take care!

I sat on a jury a few months back over back/ neck injuries. My best advice is document everything and keep all bills and receipts, even those that any insurance picks up. If you have to go to trial you will need them and the State will make the defendant pay all medical bills, even those covered by insurance- if found liable (plus whatever damages a jury awards). The vast majority of claims will be settled with the insurance company typically. Glad you guys are otherwise ok, what an ordeal!

Not rutting yet but definitely in the pre- rut. He had a ton of fat inside and on his ribs and rump. The other mature buck my buddy Sam shot was the same way. Should be great eating, been hanging for a week. I'm cutting him up in the morning and will be having deer steaks for breakfast. If it sucks he'll make good sausage...lol!

The buck is delicious I am happy to report! I honestly think hanging them for a week or so makes all the difference. Almost done processing but have to grind the burger yet. Deer burgers for supper...mmmmmmmm!

Welcome YT. Speaking of pictures what all does everyone do out on the line for carrying your camera and keeping the batteries good in the colder temps. I'd always just keep the small point and shoot in my breast pocket of a shirt under the parka. Had about 2 mins to take a picture once you took it out before it decides to freeze on me.

Mike
