start at the head and roll tightly as possible rapping the tail around the end, then bag removing as much air as possible and freeze. if putting multiple animals in at one time, try to space them out so they freeze evenly.also when unthawing remove it from any plastic as soon as possible to avoid spoilage.

Roll both ends towards eachother until they meet in the middle. 2 years ago, my method way rolling them all the way down by starting at the head. I ended up keeping a few furs for a year and the tail plus an inch of the rump was freezer burned. Roll both ends in towards eachother so there's no exposed flesh. My fur buyer also recommended that.

Some people will tell you to lay them flat, which will work for a few months, but if you keep them for a year, you've made a mistake.

Fur goes inside, roll tight.

I quit rolling mine and fold in half then freeze. They thaw much quicker that way.

And they freeze a lot faster that way. And they take up less room In the freezer.

I agree w/ hogwild and The Beav. Faster both ways. I have held frozen coons a year laying flat with no ill effects. I fold the face inside as it will dry out first when thawing. Make sure the fur is dry, if it is wet fold the face in and hang hide in front of a fan. I use an ear hole on nails I have pounded in my work bench.
