Cut the grizzle on the tail in kind of a checkerboard pattern. It'll come off a lot easier. As far as skinning, the warmer they are the easier they are. If you let them get cold at all it's a knife fight all the way.

Never tried a longitudinal cut like that but will try on the next otter. One of our new trappers just caught three and I am going to help him out in put up.
