Heres a set I started using last season in select spots. Just a bottom edge on with a 330 for beaver/otter..I use a bit of castor based lure on the log above the trap. It seems to work pretty good in travel ways espically coupled with another fenced off 330 in the middle.

That is a great set, but not normally avaibale, Most inside curves are shallow. If and when you locate one (deep inside run) set it, it WILL produce!
Bottom edge will work on ALL water critters!

Thank you very much for the picture, I can use the knowledge.

May I ask about all the cable though?

That one spring is almost vertical to get it close to the edge, very interesting.

Yea, its a belisle. All my bodygrips are equiped with 8'-10' of cable. Usually its stretched up the bank to a tie off. There I just have coiled up next to the bank. It also lets the beaver roll out in the water away from the set so if another beaver comes thru the blocked off channel it wont see another beaver dead.

freepop I quite often more often then not have springs on conis vertical as opposed to the horizontal positin to make them fit in tight spots. That is the beauty of the conis you can have one spring staight up the other straight down if thats what is needed to make it work in a particular place. Bottom edge sets work under the ice on deep inside corners as well as in open water when you can walk on the ice it is a very easy set to make

I couldn't agree more. I'll often times use a 660 or a Megabear for a bottom edge set through the ice...very deadly for beaver when you're having a hard time finding bank den and house entrances.

great set KY ... i think ive used a few of those before in the past ..... lol ..... hope ya dont take this the wrong way ... but from the looks of the pic it APPEARS that there is a small stump or sumthin above the trap itself that in my mind may PUSH a beaver or otter a lil wide of the set if it would be travelin from top of pic to the bottom .... im sure ya know what ya doin and alot of times pix can be decievin ..... but there are ways around that also if im seein what i think im seein ..... thanx for postin !!! \:\)
