I cannot find the pictures or information about how to modify Victor pinch pans to have adjustable pan tension. I am sure I have seen that on here in the past.... Of cousre when I did not own any.

Can anyone help me?

They DO show how to adjust the tension ...

Barkstone I think the mink guys just shuttered. lol The best part of that style pans is its large surface and lack of almost any pan tension. That's what makes it a top notch mink trap.

Oh OK! Those aren't "pinch pans" though I see why it could be confusing the way they are pinched together to hold on to the frame. The correct term for them is "hump frame" traps. Here's what a true "pinch pan" looks like...

And as for adding tension to the type you have you can either change the pans to PIT pans like these (best option but more expensive)...

Or you can tediously file the triggers like this...

I'm far from an expert on these but somewhere, I beleive it may have been in Tom Miranda's coyote book, where he bend the dog at an upward angle. This has the effect of pressing the jaws down a litter further and increasing the pressure on the dog. I did it with three No. 3 DBL's and it seemed to work. I did not measure the before and after pan tension.

ADC, I don't understand how the "miles" trigger you so would increase pan tension--it appears to require more pan travel to release however.

Well its like teeth gripping the edge of the pan. It pulls forward, rather than, up out of the notch. Kind of hard to explain just try one and see.

Bend the dog up at a slight angle maybe 1/2 to 3/4 inch from end of dog, bend just a few say 5 degrees at a time until you have desired tension,
