I have a friend near Anchorage who needs 8 coon size (36") cages. Any suggestions?

I would make my own, I did, and have 40. Just requires a bit of welding experiance.

Okay guys, I live just north of Milwaukee and Copperfield wants an $1800 order to ship less than 100 miles. I've spent some time in Alaska when things were cheap and they still cost double. My guess is that most of us can buy a new car for what the (broke) US postal service wants to send those cages to Alaska.

Yeah, wiggler, that's what I'm thinking. If it were that easy, I'm sure by now that Phil's friend would have had some already. The most amazing part of this post was that Phil actually had a friend!

Just for the heck of it, I checked out an order of one dozen Duke 12 X 12 X 30 inch cage traps sent to Anchorage

EDIT: Maybe Vinke could help.

Ron, as much as Vinke hollers about the cost of shipping I don't think he's going to be a lot of help. On the bright side there was no tax.

OK, thanks all for the input. I contacted Duke. They looked at various ways to get a cage to Anchorage. The least expensive found was .....drum roll..... the US POSTAL SERVICE !
A 13 pound cage will cost $19.01 parcel post, and take no longer than one month.

+1 I don't even look at it anymore. If I wanted a bunch of stuff from down south I would try and find someone that is heading up that is willing to haul them for gas money. Or I would make my own.
